1. Trust the Process
Let go, we’ve got you.
The best shots aren’t planned. They happen when you’re relaxed and in the moment. I always tell our couples, “Don’t look for the camera. If we’re doing our job right, you won’t even notice we’re there.” That’s when the magic happens.
2. Get a Timeline That’s Not Rushed
Because stress shows on your face.
Weddings can feel like a sprint. But when there’s time to breathe, everything looks and feels better—especially in photos. Allow buffer time so you’re not rushing from one thing to another. It’s okay to slow down.
3. Choose a Comfortable Outfit (Especially for Prep)
Yes, even your robes matter.
Loose, light, and camera-friendly outfits during prep can make your shots extra dreamy. During your wedding day, know the venue, make sure you can move and go around! 😅 So think neutrals or soft tones!
4. Be Present with Your Partner
You’re not just posing—you’re connecting.
The best couple shots? They happen when you’re truly present with each other. Whisper something sweet. Share a laugh. Those little interactions? We live for them.
5. Keep Your Space Tidy (or at least one corner!)
Clutter distracts from the emotions.
Yes, we can blur some things out—but a clean prep room helps the focus stay on you. Assign someone to hide bags, water bottles, and fast food wrappers. Future you will thank you!
6. Let Your Emotions Flow
Don’t hold back. Cry, laugh, ugly-cry—we love it all.
Some of my favorite shots are those raw, emotional moments: a father seeing his daughter in a wedding dress or a groom tearing up during vows. No need to be perfect. Be real.
7. Interact with Your Loved Ones
Candid photos shine when you connect with your people.
Spend time with your friends, hug your mom, dance with your lola. These unguarded moments? They tell your story in the most beautiful way.
8. Talk to Us
Let us know what matters to you.
Got a special heirloom? A unique ritual? A surprise planned? Tell us! The more we know, the better we can capture those must-not-miss moments.
9. Unplug (Just for a Bit)
Phones down = real connections.
Ask your entourage to take breaks from their phones—especially during key moments like your walk down the aisle or first kiss. Let your love be the main focus, not screens.
10. Let Go of the Perfect Shot
Perfection is overrated. Real is beautiful.
The wind might mess your hair. Your veil might fly the wrong way. But you’ll be laughing together and that joy? It’s gold. Those imperfect, real moments—that’s where the story lives.
In the End…
We’re not just here to take pretty photos—we’re here to tell your story as it unfolds naturally. With us behind the lens, you don’t have to worry about posing or performing. Just live in the moment. We’ll do the rest. 🫶
