This Dubai desert elopement of Anthony and Vida that we have been blessed to be a part of is like a scene from a movie or like a styled shoot come true. All the elements seem to have been put together perfectly – gorgeous couple that is unbelievably head over heels for each other, chic and boho decor intricately organized by Liesel of Rock Your Wedding, and a picturesque sunset as if painted over the fine desert dunes of Dubai.
THE STORY
Vida is an Indonesian raised in the Middle East. She met Anthony in a Christian Church when she visited the USA. They were both working in the music ministry when they fell in love with each other. Vida moved back to Oman and they endured a long-distance relationship for a year. After many virtual dates, they were finally able to tie the knot in Dubai despite COVID-19.
THE WEDDING DAY
The couple got ready in separate rooms that beautiful morning in January 2021. Vida’s father and brother helped Anthony as Anthony’s parents could not fly in and witness the wedding in person. So many important family members could not be there but everyone was present virtually.
The nuptials were held at Holy Trinity in Oud Metha where Anthony sang a worship song as Vida walked down the aisle. We almost cried as these two souls were joined with God’s blessings. Afterward, the newlyweds had lunch with Vida’s family and we met them in the afternoon in a secluded desert spot for their private elopement
THE DESERT ELOPEMENT SETUP
Liesel of Rock Your Wedding prepared a rustic boho-themed set up with a private tent for Anthony and Vida. There was a table for two, a flat arch of flowers where the couple said their emotional vows for each other, a bonfire area with seating, and a magnificent tent complete with beddings and accessories for when they sleep in the night. All these with a private butler who will serve them dinner and breakfast the next morning.
BLESSED TO BE WEDDING STORYTELLERS
We love the stories that we capture and the stories we tell. Love and marriage are wonderful blessings and when we witness true love, all we feel is hope and joy. God’s plans for us will endure the distance and challenges that we face.
