Ah, the weather is getting better and we can’t wait to see the blue skies and fluffy white clouds again. Those who have been in the Middle east for years know that half of the year, the atmosphere is hazy and the skies are sort of grayish white (if you know what I mean). Come October, the air cools off and you get to go outside without sweating your underarms. Tis the season to schedule that photoshoot you have been planning for so long. Make sure you plan a date before April comes when the weather starts to change again.
Earlier this year, we got the privilege to shoot the wedding of this beautiful couple. They met in university and after years of getting to know each other, they finally decided to tie the knot. These two compliment each other as they are both shy, soft spoken and cheerful…and not to mention that they are both gorgeous. So a few weeks before their wedding day, they booked us for an engagement shoot or a pre-wedding shoot.
We recommend to our couples getting married to book a pre-wedding shoot for many reasons:
1. It is like a “trial run” for the wedding. We want to create a rapport with our couples so they will feel comfortable with us on their wedding day.
2. You get to know us and we get to know you. We get to know what kind of poses you will be comfortable with.
3. And you get beautiful images to play during your reception down time. Some opt for a customized guest sign book or a big portrait on canvas leading to their reception venue.
Going back to our lovely couple, Faisal and Faoz….on our first shoot, we went to The Farm in Al Barari where we took these shoots. The greenery is refreshing. It is one of our favorite locations.
Faoz mentioned that they have a villa in Ras Al Khaimah with a beachfront so we thought it would be a nice private area to shoot at. That will be the second part of this post coming tomorrow. It was a beautiful quiet area and it was a perfect place for sunset shots. I couldn’t help it but swoon over them (love your own of course!)
