The wedding season has kicked in after the long hot summer and we are up to our heads with weddings and engagement shoots again. We were blessed to shoot several weddings over the summer but we look forward to many more weddings especially outdoor ones.
People in other parts of the world might think that Dubai is just desert and sand but what they don’t know is that Dubai has several wedding venues that are breathtakingly beautiful. We have our own favorites and we can’t help but get excited when we’re scheduled to shoot at these venues. Why? There are so many beautiful spots in these venues and the possibilities are endless. Here are our top five outdoor wedding venues in Dubai in no particular order:
Desert Palm Resort Per Aquum
Located along Hatta Road, just 15mins drive the Dubai Airport, Desert Palm Per Aquum hotel resort is a favorite of couples looking for a rustic feel to their wedding.
We love this venue because the property is massive and there are so many spots available to shoot at. You can even get the chance to shoot with a horse. From the bougainvillea arch, to the olive garden and the museum, the bride and groom and their entourage will have many options to choose from. They also have multiple areas where you can hold your wedding ceremony and reception. Here are some of our weddings we shot at Desert Palm Resort.

Al Qasr Hotel or Mina Salam Hotel
These chain of hotels by the Jumeirah Group – Al Qasr, Mina Salam, and the new Al Naseem, offers breathtaking backdrops for couples getting married there. The beach with the Burj Al Arab as the backdrop, the Pier Chic boardwalk, the romantic abra ride, the Arabic architecture, these are just a few of the reasons why we love these hotels.
Most outdoor wedding parties are held at the Magnolia in Al Qasr but the rest offers beautiful indoor areas for wedding receptions. Guests arriving at the Magnolia will be treated to a truly Arabic experience with an abra ride.

The One and Only the Palm
The One and Only the Palm has many beautiful spots too. Located at the edge of the Palm Jumeirah, this venue boasts of their courtyard and beautiful villas by the beach. Couples have the option to shoot at the beach and there are tall grasses too. The courtyard with the gazebo is a good backdrop for a romantic couple shoot and the architecture of the villas give a rustic Spanish feel. The jetty is just a buggy away and you can also have Dubai Marina cityscape as a backdrop which looks stunning during sunset.
Sofitel the Palm
Similar to the venues above, Sofitel the Palm offers different backdrops for couple photos – by the beach, over the boardwalk, with greenery. A good option when choosing an outdoor venue for your wedding.
Anantara the Palm
We also love Anantara the Palm because of the unique Thai architecture of their water villas which serve as an exotic backdrop. Couples will also have an option to have photos by the beach or in nooks between their villas with greenery.
Our other favorite outdoor wedding venue include Park Hyatt and The Address Montgomerie. Four Seasons Hotel and Resort also has an outdoor area to boast and it is adjacent to the ballroom which gives a client an outdoor and indoor option at the same time.
