There is a baby boom this year. The reason I said that is because just recently, a dear friend gave birth to a baby boy and the same weekend, I attended two baby showers. And I love baby showers!
One of the baby showers I attended had a Parisian theme. It was held at the Madeleine Bistro in Intercontinental Hotel DFC, one of my favorite Parisian restaurants. One of the bonuses of having good friends is having a beautifully detailed and organized event. Just look at all these details and I love, love, LOVE details.
Simran is a soft-spoken lady and I am sure she would make a sweet, loving mother.
The restaurant was packed! There were also games for the guests and of course, good food. Their cookbook souvenir was a brilliant take-away.
And of course, the moment they had to cut the cake was a moment we wouldn’t miss.
Baby shower number 2 is different because it was a surprise for our dear friend Tetch. Held at The Palace, Old Town, it was a simple and intimate gathering of close friends over tea and some pastries.
There is a difference in perspective when you are an official photographer versus when you are a guest. You get to capture more moments when there are lesser guests and when you are just supposed to sit and relish the company of friends. Setback, don’t expect to get a good group shot when you are part of the group. Lol!!!
The common thing between these two showers is that they are both celebrations of the coming new life. Both babies are blessed to have sweet and beautiful moms! Congratulations to Simran and my dear friend, Tetch! 🙂
