We are always excited when we get booked for a destination wedding because we love to see new places and because we love to travel. We have set it as a goal to shoot at least 5 destination weddings a year and so far, this is our third – destination wedding in Georgia! All praises to God!
Georgia is a small country in Eastern Europe and recently, it has become a popular destination for UAE residents because you get visas upon arrival when you have valid UAE resident visas*. Flights are also cheap. You can book cheap flights with Flydubai and Air Arabia. Accommodation and food are also not expensive in Georgia. The greenery and laid back lifestyle is a good break from the hustle and bustle of busy Dubai.
Choosing Georgia for their wedding is probably one of their best decisions Aditya and Rashee made with regards to their wedding. Lopota Lake located in Telavi was an hour and a half away from the city but it was paradise on earth. You will pass shepherds herding sheep & cattle, vineyards, meadows and forests on your way to Telavi. Georgian people are also very helpful and hospitable. This trip was quite an experience for everyone.
Rana of Rightstar Events, Aditya and Rashee’s wedding planner and organizer, managed to bring all his decor stuff and his crew from Dubai and India. Since our full team flew to Georgia, we were able to include some of the stuff in our baggage. I think the most difficult thing for a planner is organizing a destination wedding. Good thing he also found helpful locals like George to help him source things, transport guests here and there and assist in finding accommodations for us and for some guests who came early to tour Georgia.
In our previous post, you have seen the pre-wedding photos we took around Tbilisi. You would have also watched our short video of Georgia. Here now are the photos. And to watch the next day/same day edit video we made for Aditya and Rashee’s destination wedding in Georgia, here is the link.
