Two wedding posts in a row held in Al Qasr! It is a very beautiful venue indeed and we have so many couples who celebrated their weddings here. The beach and Burj Al Arab was the backdrop of this intimate wedding and they weather couldn’t be better. The blue skies and sparse clouds graced this wedding of David and Fiona. Fiona would be at the top of our list of the no-fuss bride. She is very kind and humble. Not a hint of the “diva” attitude. Probably that is why David is so in love with her.
The ceremony was led by Tony of Memorable Moments and she had the guests wish on each sea shell and then collected for the couple to keep. Quite a good remembrance for your beach wedding celebration. We loved the lanterns used as flower holders flanking the aisle. The guests were also given Japanese umbrellas to protect them from the sun.
After the ceremony, we took them around the different spots around Al Qasr. Our favorites are the Pier Chic, the beach beside Burj Al Arab, the garden near Magnolia and the of course, Dubai’s gondolas – the abras. We try not to duplicate each wedding because each wedding is unique and it should be treated like that. We try and make each shot unique even though we almost shoot on the same space…a different pose and a different spot. Changing angles and lenses makes a difference.
David and Fiona’s reception was also one of the laid back parties we shot. They took their time to socialize and chat with each of their guests. All of them enjoyed the photobooth and by end of the evening, everyone got more than one set of shots. After the first dance, everyone danced the night away.
