It was like 42 degrees Celsius outside and we were in a warehouse with no air conditioning. Our project was to shoot wrought iron pieces by a world-renowned German artisans from the Hantel family. Hantel Art was established in 1969 by its chief designer, Karl Heinz Hantel in Germany. They have designed major works in different parts of Europe and Asia and now in the Middle East. Believe it or not, each of these pieces were articulately made by hand and it took more than 5 men to make each one for months. Each piece was also uniquely designed for that particular customer.
So despite the heat and sweat, we felt proud being able to photograph and capture in photos unique works of art. We were so impressed that we had to take a photo with these masters of iron, Dietmar Hantel and Marwin Schmeidicke!
