We had a pleasure of shooting this beautiful One and Only Royal Mirage wedding in Dubai late last year.
Michael and Diana met in a university in Switzerland. They got closer as they worked on their final project but they separated ways after graduation. Michael went back to Dubai and Diana stayed in Switzerland. However, when true love finds each other, fate paves the way for them to meet again. Diana got an offer to work in Dubai and there they became inseparable.

It was raining the week of their wedding day. When they did the rehearsals, they already walked me through plan B and C in case the open air wedding will be met with rainclouds. Forecast was cloudy skies and scattered rains but God opened up the heavens and sun shone that morning. Dampened spirits came alive and the garden wedding of their dreams was going to push through.
It was one of the most beautiful garden weddings we ever shot. Masha Cain of Fabulous Day did a fantastic if not amazing job with coordinating and organizing the day. Helen Schrader, their celebrant, did her part in making Michael and Diana’s day perfect. There were teary eyes as the couple exchanged their vows.
After the ceremony, they had a simple cocktail gathering where all the guests greeted the couple while they were serenaded by a saxophonist. And around 7pm, they were all chauffeured to the reception hall. The place was exceptionally decorated again by Fabulous Day. After the speeches, there was a traditional dance presentation by one of Diana’s relatives. Michael and Diana also gamely participated in a game of how well they know each other. And for their first dance, a beautiful confetti shower with fireworks topped the evening like icing on a cake. And for a Filipino touch (did I mention that Michael is half-Filipino?), the couple also danced while the guests pinned money on them as a symbol of wealth and plenty for their years to come.
We also wish the couple years of plenty and good health. I also wish them strength for their marriage as life will always bring storms and rains but the sun will always shine, they just have to keep the love burning and stay together no matter what.
