This is not a blog…this is a love story
Marc and Denise’s love story started years ago when they were still in school and it is so inspiring to see them still so in love. They both went to St.Mary’s School. Marc was two years ahead of Denise but I think, he got hooked by Denise’s lively and sweet personality. They started of as friends but later realized that it was they were meant to be together. They might be one of the sweetest people we have met.
They booked us more than 6 months before their wedding day and they were really keen on having us as their wedding photographers. Denise liked our photojournalistic style because like most of our brides, they love natural photos and they want the moments of their special taken. And we were more than happy to tell Marc and Denise’s story.
On Marc and Denise’s wedding day, their friends were present in full-force. And in return Denise had prepared an emergency kit for each of them, to help themselves and to help their lovely friend-bride. Little bottles of champagne were also ready for the bridesmaids to relieve their stress.
Look at Denise’s fiery red shoes!
These girls for sure know how to pose!
While the girls were having a fun time together, the boys made sure they did not miss out.
While in the limo on the way to St.Mary’s church, Denise had a glimpse of her groom in another car.
I think one of the best-loved priests in St.Mary’s is Father Tom. He is the favorite of most of our couples because he delivers his messages with a bit of humor and of course with blessings.
After the ceremony, Marc and Denise asked us to take them somewhere scenic so we can have a few creative shots with the entourage. It was dark already so outdoors at the park was not an option. Dubai Festival City was an option but the Marina Promenade was always crowded during the weekends especially with the Light and Sound Show happening during the evenings. The idea of taking them to Mirdif City Center came to my mind when I saw some amazing light trees displayed just outside the mall a week before. It was an amazing photo opportunity and the timing was just right! Plus with the giant M-I-R-D-I-F letters outside, Mirdiff City Center was indeed the place we needed! M for Marc and D for Denise. Aren’t we smart? (Just say yes, please?)
After the creative portrait session in Mirdiff City Center, we headed off to the JW Marriot where the celebrations continued. The couple had another photo session back in the room with their entourage. Denise and her best friend Abby were like little girls jumping on the bed.
Down the hall, a photobooth area was set up for guests to have their photos taken and have fun (check out the tagline – “the wedding that brought in the Apocalypse). Who knew anyways if it was the end of the world, right?
Friends and family filled the hall with love and laughter and confetti as the couple entered. There was the wedding march, cake cutting, toasts, bouquet and garter toss, the first dance and our favorite was the father and daughter dance to the tune of “It’s Not Unusual” by Tom Jones. So unusual but so beautiful! After dinner, I thought the earth shook because everybody stormed on to the dance floor and shook their booties to the tunes of Macarena and the official 2012 wedding song – Psy’s Gangnam Style! 🙂
It was a really lively night and Marc and Denise really rocked the house, in this case, the JW Marriott. We had fun and made friends because it was a friendly crowd. What would you expect from a truly friendly couple? Congratulations again Marc and Denise! God bless you both. 🙂
