We rode on a Rolls Royce, a helicopter and a yacht – all in one day. This sounds insane but it was an absolutely awesome wedding! This is the first time we have shot a Chinese wedding in Dubai.
We started really early shooting the preparation moments of the bride and groom in Desert Palm Hotel and Resort. It was our first Chinese wedding and it was interesting to see the different practices they have. Check out these getting ready moments.
So the groom had to look for the shoes first so he can sweep the bride away with him. When they stepped out of the villa, they popped some balloons with their feet. Making loud noises was considered to bring good luck. In China, they used firecrackers but since you need to get permits to use firecrackers here in Dubai, popping balloons will do.
The couple went off in a Rolls Royce to go for their helicopter ride!
Meanwhile, as the couple flew around Dubai, their guests enjoyed some drinks and sweets in their beautifully decorated garden party.
Their helicopter landed on time in the Desert Palm Resort lawn and they were met by their families and guests. It was time for the ceremony to start. But before the ceremony, Christian had to change to another gorgeous gown.
After the ceremony, the guests proceeded to have their lunch buffet. The couple changed into a different outfit again. Christian also holds our record of the bride with the most outfit change.
When they finished the speeches and the guests had their full, it was time to go for the yacht ride. It was a long day but everyone really had a great time. Especially the Christian and Bowen. Wishing you both a prosperous marriage and many blessed years together.
