This was definitely one of the grandest baby shower we have been to. When we were asked to cover the event, we thought we were going to an intimate gathering of women with some tea and pastries and baby games and we honestly thought it is going to be an awkward assignment.
However, all our expectations changed when we reached the place.
There was a bar and waiters waiting to serve drinks. There were gorgeous usherettes standing beside glass elephant sculptures at the door waiting to greet and usher guests in. The whole room was decorated with cherubs and a portrait of the mom-to-be sat on an easel beside a band ready to play jazz.
This wasn’t your ordinary baby shower! Well, thanks to Shalini’s friends who she lovingly calls her angels.
But like all other baby showers, the soon-to-be-mom enjoyed her afternoon with close friends and family. Some gave heart-warming messages and some just wrote theirs on the canvass.
But maybe the most touching message was given by the father-to-be. They are just two happy couple expecting the arrival of their little angel.
Everybody enjoyed this chic and awesome baby shower. Even this unnoticed guest. He just stood and swayed to the music while the rest giggled and had a whale of a time.
