I had an illusion that I would be able to finish a lot of pending jobs and post a lot of blogs during the last Ramadan…there were no weddings to shoot and lesser working hours means I would have a lot of help at home. Unfortunately, I was tied up with household chores and taking care of our 2 kids. I sent my nanny on her vacation (this is the best time to let her go because we do not have a lot of events to shoot) so I was alone most of the day with the 2 kids, answering work-related calls (thank you to our callers who understood the situation as I discussed their events with a screaming baby at the background), editing while they are sleeping and a ton of chores on the side. I salute working mothers who doesn’t have help…you are SUPER HUMAN BEINGS!
But my consolation was more than I deserve. I got to spend a lot of time with Khloe and Kurt. I got to be there for their every waking hour and I got to be there for them 24/7. I got frustrated at times especially when I needed to wash dishes and hang the laundry while a looming deadline sat on my head and they wouldn’t sleep but their smiles says it all – “Mom, it is gonna be alright. We love you.” Their hugs and kisses made each day complete.
So now everything is back to normal again,…but that period made me realize what matters most will always be my family. I hope that you were able to reflect on life as well during Ramadan. Focus on matters most in your life because life is too short not to.
Well that was my personal note… but in photos, what I wanted to share is this wedding we shot last year of the beautiful Ash and her groom, Matt. Raised in different countries with different beliefs, this gorgeous couple crossed paths in Dubai and the differences didn’t matter anymore. Love was all that mattered and we were privileged to capture their 2 day wedding with 2 ceremonies – a Christian and a Hindu ceremony. And if you think they look familiar, Ash is a TV presenter in one of the Dubai channels and she often appear in magazines. Stunning and drop down gorgeous, Matt was captivated by her beauty and her sweet demeanor. We hope that the pictures tell their story.
Christian ceremony: Christ the King Church in Jebel Ali
Hindu ceremony and Reception: H Hotel, Dubai
